about US
The Museum of Traditional Yavoriv Toys is a unique art space founded by Yavoriv toy masters Oksana Kohut and Ostap Soyka in 2025 with the aim of popularizing, producing and passing on the skill of making Yavoriv toys on a traditional basis. The priority in the work of the masters is to preserve the authentic image of the Yavoriv toy.
The museum presents traditional toys - horses, carts, birds, furniture, rattles, rattles, dancers.
Along with established types, the exhibits also feature original works by masters. Oksana Kohut and Ostap Soyka also hold master classes to interest children in the traditional toy and to teach them the secrets of creativity.
So, the museum has the following sections:

entrance-reception
Crossing the threshold of the museum, you find yourself in the hallway, which will serve visitors to feel the excitement of meeting the world of fine art - Yavoriv toys. Here you can buy tickets to visit the museum, get acquainted with souvenirs, and buy a Yavoriv toy created by craftsmen.
HALL permanent exhibition
The permanent exhibition hall of the Museum presents an ancient traditional Yavoriv toy and original toys by Oksana Kohut and Ostap Soyka. The place of origin and originality of the Yavoriv toy is confirmed by its ornamentation and color, which have analogies in the paintings of chests, embroidery, and fabrics of the Yavoriv region. The figurative and objective world of the Yavoriv toy, with its variety of themes embodied in it, connects it with the life and everyday life of Ukrainians. The traditionality and artistic value of the Yavoriv toy are enhanced by its functional qualities - environmental friendliness, due to the use of wood and safe dyes, as well as gaming capabilities, in particular the ability to create movement and sound.





workshop
The workshop is designed to embody the technological processes that are carried out during the production of toys: craftsmen cut blanks into individual parts, fasten them and paint them. Here you can see the equipment that helps craftsmen in the "birth" of artistic products.
Hall for conducting master classes
The master classes that the craftsmen plan to hold in this hall are aimed at transferring skills in making Yavoriv toys from famous craftsmen to the younger generation, which is interested in continuing the tradition of making Yavoriv toys.
In this hall, craftsmen Oksana Kohut and Ostap Soyka will share their skills with children, high school students, students, and adults who are not indifferent to the traditions of the Yavoriv region. Anyone can color a Yavoriv horse, a bright bird, or products of a more complex design, analogues of which are stored in the exhibition halls.

The conference hall is intended for holding various events, including: scientific conferences, seminars, open lessons, etc., as well as for providing exhibition space to other authors for organizing personal short-term art exhibitions.

The Yavoriv toy occupies an important place in the visual arts, as its bright colors and unique shapes have become an inspiration for many artists. They use these toys as symbols of Ukrainian culture, reflecting them in painting and graphics. The image of Yavoriv toys often conveys not only their aesthetics, but also the deep meaning of traditions.
